JACKSON Welcome to Wyoming! At 6 pm, meet with your Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome drink.
Day 2: Jackson–grand Teton National Park–yellowstone National Park
JACKSON [LF] Sleigh ride in the National Elk Refuge where as many as 10,000 elk congregate each winter, the largest elk gathering on the planet. GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK Scenic drive through Grand Teton National Park to Flagg Ranch for the snowcoach disembarkation. YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK Snowcoach ride through Yellowstone National Park. See West Thumb Geyser Basin on the shores of Lake Yellowstone, the Continental Divide, and Shoshone Point Overlook before arriving at Old Faithful Snow Lodge for a 2-night stay. (B,D)
Day 3: Yellowstone National Park
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK Guided walking tour of Upper Geyser Basin including Old Faithful, Castle, Daisy, and Gran Geysers. Day 4: Yellowstone National Park
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK Snowcoach ride through Lower Geyser Basin with Fountain Paint Pot and Gibbon Falls. Visit to Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone includes Upper Falls and Lower Falls. After a box lunch in a warming hut, continue to Mammoth Hot Springs. Free time this evening. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Yellowstone National Park–west Yellowstone
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK Excursion to the [LF] Lamar Valley. Known as the “Serengeti of North America,” the valley is a large U-shaped carved by glaciers during the last ice age, and is the perfect place for spotting elk, bison, bighorn sheep, wolves, and cougars. Continue to Bozeman, Montana en route to West Yellowstone. WEST YELLOWSTONE Free time this afternoon and evening. (B)
